About Kathleen

Kathleen Clemons is an award-winning photographer, teacher, speaker, author and workshop leader from the coast of Maine. Primarily a nature photographer who specializes in photographing flowers, Kathleen is known for her creative use of natural light and unique, artistic photographs. 

Kathleen teaches online classes at kathleenclemonseducation.org as well as many location workshops and seminars and is on the instructional staff of the Santa Fe Workshops.  She has also filmed instructional classes for Craftsy, CreativeLive, Lensbaby University and is the author of “All About Textures”. 

With a background in education and a passion for both photography and teaching, Kathleen loves to teach others how to improve their photography skills and to see beyond the obvious.

Course

The Art of Flower Portraiture

Students will learn best practices in capturing individual flower portraits including how to use natural light, choosing backgrounds, composition choices, focus placement and how to use blur to add to the stories they are telling about their subjects. Kathleen will provide the information and techniques needed in creating less literal, more imaginative flower photographs.
